A Lithuanian network of Anna Lindh foundation
The Anna Lindh Foundation is an institution shared by the forty-three countries of the Union for the Mediterranean with a mandate to promote intercultural dialogue and cross-cultural understanding. Since its launch in 2005, the Foundation has led and supported activities and projects across fields impacting on mutual perceptions among people of different cultures and beliefs, as well as developing a region-wide Network of over three thousand civil society organisations.
A Lithuanian network of Anna Lindh foundation unites a variety of members from universities or civil society organisations, to governmental and public institutions. Based on principles democracy, Head of the network is elected every 3 years. LPK has been elected to be Head of Network on 6/11/2014.
The main aims of Lithuanian network:
- Became institutionally recognised platform for those who are (or would like) to build cooperation with partners from the South;
- Stimulate transnational cooperation in order to strengthen mutual understanding of an open and tolerant society.
In order to reach these aims, further to its coordinating role HoN is organizing conferences and seminars in the fields of education, culture, intercultural dialogue, innovations and business.
