She worked as a senior policy adviser at the Brussels Representation of the European Investment Fund. She previously worked for several years at the World Bank’s headquarters in Washington, USA, where she served as a senior adviser and adviser at the office of the World Bank’s executive director for the Nordic and Baltic countries. Before continuing her career in international institutions, E. Čipkutė worked for eight years in the Ministry of Finance, where she headed the Department of Financial Markets Policy, was chairwoman of the Board of the state insurance company “Housing Loans Insurance”, member of the board of INVEGA, represented Lithuania in the Financial Services Committee of the Council of Europe and the Financial Services Working Group, the European Commission’s European Banking and Securities Committees, and negotiated the creation of Banking Union during the Lithuanian Presidency of the Council of the EU.
